PEANUT BUTTER POWER STICKS
 
1/2 Cup natural peanut butter
3 TBSP honey
2/3 Cup of cereal (fibre 1/Go Lean/honey bunches of oats/all bran/etc.)
1/3 Cup Instant dried milk powder
 
Knead all ingredients together. Pack into a square.

Refrigerate.

You can cut into about 10 individual portions, wrap, put into fridge  for and easy snack to take on the go!

 

ATHLETE'S COOKIES

 
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Rolled Oats
1/4 Cup Bran
1 TSP. Baking Soda
1/2 CUP Brown Sugar
1/2 Raisins
1/2 Chocolate Chips
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Butter softened
1/2 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
 
Mix all ingredients well.  Form into balls and slightly flatten onto non-greased baking sheet.
Bake 350 for 12-14 minutes
Makes about 2 dozen cookies
 

 

Quinoa Balls

2 Cups of cooked Quinoa  ( Boil 2 cups water to 1 cup quinoa for 40 min. on low)
1/2 C chocolate chips
2 TBSP Molasses
1/2 Cup any nut butter (peanut, almond, soya, etc.)
1 Cup of your choice of nut ( sesame, almonds, sunflower, pumpkin) OR healthy cereal such as Kashi Go Lean

Melt chips and nut butter ( I microwave).  Stir in molasses.  Add nuts and or cereal. Roll into 1" balls or press into pan to cut into bars. Chill and enjoy!

A very healthy snack for post workout.  Quinoa is a grain that contains protein, aiding in repair and satisfaction.
